Does the Galaxy S20 come with Galaxy Buds Plus?

Wondering if Samsung’s bundled its new Galaxy S20 flagship with a pair of oh so sweet Galaxy Buds Plus true wireless earphones?

You’re not alone. Thankfully we’re here to help and answer the big question: Does the Galaxy S20 come with a free pair of Galaxy Buds?

Samsung’s bundling a free pair of Galaxy Buds with pre-orders of the Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra. The basic Galaxy S20 is not included in the deal.

If you buy any of the new Samsung phones after that, then you’ll just get a basic pair of USB C headphones in the box.

The Galaxy S20 is the latest flagship family of phones from Samsung. The line features a basic Galaxy S20, larger, slightly pricier Galaxy S20 Plus and uber-premium Galaxy S20 Ultra. All the phones feature pretty impressive specs.

The biggest upgrade on the older S10-line is the jump to 120Hz refresh rate screens. These should be noticeably smoother and more reactive than the Galaxy S10’s display, which is locked to a bog standard 60Hz.

They also include upgraded 5G-ready connectivity and improved rear camera setups Samsung claims will perform radically better in low light.

The Galaxy Buds Plus are Samsung’s answer to the Apple Airpods. They were unveiled alongside the new Galaxy phones at the company’s Unpacked event earlier this week.

Samsung claims the Plus are a significant upgrade on last year’s Galaxy Buds, which were a distinctly average pair of true wireless earbuds.

The buds would normally set you back well over £100, so their inclusion as a pre-order bonus isn’t to be sniffed at. We haven’t had a chance to test them yet, so we can’t comment on their audio quality.

If you don’t fancy the buds, there are a wealth of other great true wireless earbuds to choose from. The Sony WF-1000XM3 are Trusted Reviews favourite all-round true wireless earbuds, offering above average audio, a comfortable fit and solid ANC (active noise cancellation).
